Meat + Veggies - It's just that simple
The name pretty much sums up the mess of crap you will need to get going and any other seasonings are included in the list. To make this even easier all the “meat” can be anything you want (except roadkill that’s shit’s gross) and the veggies can be interchangeable with whatever is in season or in the Bodega at the corner, depending on where you live. What’s really killer about this one is that you can twist and bend the flavors until it suits your taste buds.
What You’ll Need:
Meat (Duh) - 2lbs of ground beef
½ Yellow onion
4 large mushroom bulbs
1 head of broccoli
2 large russet potatoes
1 Tbsp Salt
1 Tbsp Pepper
1 Tsp Garlic
1 Tsp Oregano
½ Cup of Water
Optional: A squirt of lemon for zest.
What That Taste Like?
Like I said this will be easy. Start by dicing all that shit! (aka cut everything into small cubes).
Next, bring a large saucepot filled with water to boil. Once boiling salt the water.
Add your diced potatoes and reduce to me medium-high heat. Cook for 5 mins before adding the broccoli.
In a medium saute pan, heat a tablespoon of oil over medium-high heat before adding your ground beef. Season with salt, pepper, oregano, and garlic and cook until it begins to brown.
Throw the onion & mushrooms into the mix and cook until they begin to soften, about 3-5 mins.
Drain your broccoli and potatoes and add to the ground beef mix. Using a heavy spoon, stir and mash the mix until blended.
Season with a little more salt and pepper to taste and a squeeze of lemon and boom, you're done.
